Description
A graceful ink-and-colour study by Zhou Fada (周法大, 1947–), depicting cascading flower blossoms against fluid, expressive vine forms. The artist combines soft lavender, violet, and blue washes with bright yellow accents to suggest blossoms at varying stages of bloom.
The twisting vine, rendered with confident calligraphic brushwork, anchors the composition and contrasts with the delicacy of the flowers. Zhou’s distinctive red seal appears on the left, balancing the composition and adding an elegant traditional note.
The work reflects Zhou Fada’s characteristic blend of spontaneity and refinement, capturing both the vitality and poetic stillness of wisteria in spring.
